TRAINING 2014: 27 to 2 February

SPA: Holas!

Monday: Bike [60′]
Tuesday: Bike [45′] + Swimming [3.200m]
Wednesday: Gym [50′] strength + Running [30′] z1
Thursday: Swimming [2.000m] + Bike [2h20′] – Spinning
Friday: Swimming [2.300m] – Fasting – speed
Saturday: Bike [1h] + Swimming [4.600m] + [Bike 1h]
Sunday: Swimming [3.300m]
TOTAL: Sw [15,4k] + Bi [180k] + Ru [6k] + Gym [50′]

Dani Juan

ENG: Hi!

Faster than expected, we are on February already!
Nowadays, it seems that the Barcelona’s Marathon will be difficult to race for me. We are now 6 weeks to the race date and I can’t run so far. Therefore, it’s possible that I will be there supporting my mates.
The training week was nice, focusing in the swimming and bike sessions, trying to improve my performance with this two disciplines.

Sum up of the week:

Monday: Bike [60′]
Tuesday: Bike [45′] + Swimming [3.200m]
Wednesday: Gym [50′] strength + Running [30′] z1
Thursday: Swimming [2.000m] + Bike [2h20′] – Spinning
Friday: Swimming [2.300m] – Fasting – speed
Saturday: Bike [1h] + Swimming [4.600m] + [Bike 1h]
Sunday: Swimming [3.300m]
TOTAL: Sw [15,4k] + Bi [180k] + Ru [6k] + Gym [50′]

Regarding my sensations, Im crazy to come back to the running sessions. I think is not only because it’s my best discipline but also because I really enjoy running and switching off about everything, listening my ipod and forgetting the time.
Anyway, I feel Im improving more than expected in the pool and also in the bike.
In fact, this week I did a 15.400m distance, but more important, I feel faster and with a better technique than in the IronMan peak performance. This is quite important, because we are only starting the season and give me an important dose of confidence.
Also, in the bike sessions, Im more confortable on the roll, pushing harder and going beyond than the last year. As I said, good stuff 🙂

In the end, this injury is leading me to work harder my worst discipline (bike) and  improve at triathlete.

Cheers,
Dani Juan
